With an uncanny ability to find the best apple fritter in any given town, John Gilbreath started doing standup to hide his special talent. A product of southwest Georgia trailer parks, his style of comedy is like an incorrectly wired washing machine stuck on spin cycle. He’s a retired Navy veteran that hopes to one day perform for our troops overseas, but for now he’ll keep producing standup shows in breweries. His Laughmeisters Comedy Series showcases talented local comedians, pairing them with nationally-known headliners in craft-beer brewery tasting room venues throughout.

Gilbreath co-produced standup in the 3rd Annual Norfolk Comedy Festival and has performed in the 2021 Virginia Beach Comedy Festival. He has shared the stage with the likes of Bonnie McFarlane, Joe List, Louis Katz, Tony Roberts, and Kevin Downey, Jr. (unrelated to that guy with great teeth who plays Iron Man). He drinks good beer and likes to laugh and thinks you should. too.
